Mummy: The Inside Story
Take a journey inside Neperennub, an Egyptian mummy whose innards have been investigated without removing a single bandage.
Using CAT scan technology, viewers are able to look at everything
inside the coffin of this ancient Egyptian, and piece together the
clues of his life.
Nesperennub became the superstar of a British Museum exhibition that
included a 3-D version of the film, letting viewers take a spectacular
journey through the flesh and bones of the ancient Egyptian, before
seeing the coffin for themselves.
“…this is a fascinating tale of science and history colliding in cyberspace.”
The Times (Pick of the day)
“Lots of fascinating
details about mummification, ancient Egyptian society and a piece of
Black humour worthy of ‘Six Feet Under’.”
Radio Times
“…it’s fascinating to see how technology helps Egyptologists piece together this period of history.”
