The Bridge on the River Kwai : Revealed

The search for the lost railway built by Allied prisoners. Engineer Bashar Altabba tracks the iconic wartime structure and discovers the tragedy in its history.

Bashar travels to Thailand to examine the extraordinary engineering techniques adopted by the Japanese in the building of the famous Thailand to Burma railway. But it isn’t long before he discovers that engineering isn’t the most important part of the story.

When prisoners from the slave camps who were used as manual labour on the railroad movingly recall their experiences of life under the Japanese Imperial Army, Bashar discovers the human tragedy and horrendous loss of life in the building of the railway.
.

“uncovers stories that have stayed secret for more than 50 years and it is impossible not to be moved.”
