Cherry Dorrett

Line Producer

After graduating from Central School of Speech and Drama and University of London in 1995 with an English and Drama degree, Cherry joined Union Pictures / Natural Nylon Entertainment on a variety drama and documentary projects with Franc Roddam and Bradley Adams.

During her time at Union she teamed up with budding director – Liberty Lindley – and produced several drama shorts. Most notable were the award winning The Window Bed and Tommy Tough which were screened at festivals worldwide.

Moving away from production, Cherry then worked in drama post production – managing over 40 hrs of primetime drama in a space of three years for a range of companies from Carnival Films to HBO. Highlights include Aristocats for the BBC, The Tenth Kingdom for NBC/Sky One, Poirot for LWT and Band of Brothers for HBO.

Following on from Band of Brothers , Cherry took over as Post Production Supervisor on Stephen Daldry’s highly acclaimed second feature film The Hours.

In 2002 Cherry returned to production and has worked as a freelance at a variety of Indies over the years, always gravitating back to Windfall Films.

Recent Line Producer credits include Monster Moves; Helicopter Wars; Surgery Live; BBC4’s drama Beau Brummell: This Charming Man; Nigella’s Christmas Kitchen and the docudrama on how close the world came to Armageddon 1983 - The Brink of Apocalypse for Channel 4 (for which she won a Grierson Award).

Cherry is currently Line Producing several projects for Windfall Films. The fifth series of Monster Moves is rapidly approaching and its spin off show Heavy Haulers is in full swing.
