Emily started her television career in development, before moving into production to work on an observational documentary film for Channel 4. After a brief foray into pop videos, most notably chasing transvestites around Paris for George Michael, she found her true home in historical drama documentaries.

She has directed Windfall’s critically acclaimed documentary Secrets of The Lost Fighter Pilots: Revealed, as well as producing a variety of high-end films for other production companies, including the drama Mayday: Bomb on Board, and Leonardo’s Dream Machines.

After working on the Channel 4 special The Battle of Hood, where she went to sea for 5 weeks, she developed a reputation for high-end historical drama documentaries, especially ones with an adventurous bent! She joined Windfall in 2005 and now heads up the development team, with several successful commissions already under her belt.
